Choctaw in Mississippi are attacked and driven from homes
More than 7,000 Choctaw refuse to move and stay in Mississippi under the terms of the Treaty of Dancing Rabbit Creek, where they become subject to the laws of the state and legislated out of tribal existence. Their remaining lands under the terms of the treaty are stolen, and they experience extreme harassment (Green, 1995).
